Americans Ready To Welcome New Indian Ambassador With Open Arms
About 67 US Congressman and Senators have hosted a reception so as to greet India’s new Ambassador to the USA HV Shringla which focuses on the powerful bipartisan support for Indo-US ties in spite of the disparities over Afghanistan and other trade issues. The people included in the host list include the US Congressmen headed by Senate India Caucus Senior John Cornyn (Republican-Texas) and co-chair Mark Warner (Democrat Virginia) along with their colleagues at the Hill; the House India Caucus, which is led by George Holding (Republican-North Carolina) plus Brad Sherman (Democrat-California) headed a group of 67 US lawmakers all greeted the Indian Ambassador last week just months after his visit to Washington DC.
This is nothing like the earlier Indo-US ties. According to Shringla, the lawmakers are trying to mirror the tough bipartisan support for India in the US Congress and also amid many of the American people. There are other US officials coming from different regions of the US willing to be a part of the union. The leaders of the Congressmen and Senators believe that the India US relationship has helped them flourish the high position long before it became popular. As per Shringla, Indian PM Narendra Modi had mentioned in his 2016 joint session of Congress, “Our relationship has overcome the hesitations of history. Comfort, candor and convergence define our conversations.” The US Congressmen and Senators are looking forward to such comfort, candor, and convergence while working with the India Caucus in order to make tremendous progress. The similarities and synergies in terms of values, freedom, innovation, entrepreneurship, and family or community regards are immense which define both the people.
The people-to-people ties amid India and the US will be one of a natural affinity and mutual attraction. The Americans tend to love Indian food and similarly Indians love watching various series on Netflix and shopping on Amazon which shows a lot of Indian American connection. There are about 30 members in the Senate India Caucus and is expected to grow in the future. In the US Senate, the Senate India Caucus is the largest bilateral caucus to date. There Indian Americans who are intelligent and best contributors to any group. The basic reason is to fit terrorism and work on mutual defense for the safety of the nationals. The US Congress is trying to carve its name in the US politics now for the betterment of the people from different regions to build a better connection with the nation.
